ABOUT THE DIFFERENT CIRCUITS TO VISIT THE MACHU PICCHU CITADEL

To preserve the archaeological site, the Peruvian government has established three circuits for visiting Machu Picchu, designed to reduce the environmental impact of tourism.

The circuits have the following characteristics:

  • CIRCUIT 1: Provides access to the classic panoramic viewpoint featured in most postcards; however, it does not allow a full visit inside the Inca citadel.

  • CIRCUIT 2: The most complete and popular option. It includes access to the classic photo viewpoint and allows you to explore and walk through the Inca citadel.

  • CIRCUIT 3: Allows entry to the Inca citadel, but does not include access to the classic panoramic viewpoint.

Please note that Circuits 1 and 3 may be subdivided (A, B, C, etc.) as they can include access to surrounding mountains such as Machu Picchu Mountain, Huayna Picchu, and others. Ticket prices may vary slightly depending on the selected route.
