Begin a scenic 3-hour hike along the opposite side of the Colca Canyon, passing through the traditional villages of Cosñirhua and Malata before reaching the lush oasis of Sangalle.
12:30 PM – Arrival at Sangalle
This lush oasis marks the end of our second day exploring the Colca Canyon. Unwind in the refreshing swimming pool, surrounded by warmth and natural beauty. Tonight, we’ll stay in a cozy local cottage (included).

DAY 3
04:00 AM – Hike from Sangalle to the Cabanaconde
Begin a challenging 4-hour and 30 minutes ascent from Sangalle to the summit of the Colca Canyon, where the trail leads to the village of Cabanaconde.

A scenic photo stop at Patapampa. Reach the highest point of the route, where you’ll admire the majestic volcanic chain—including Misti, Chachani, and Ampato—rising above the horizon.
02:30 PM – Salinas & Aguada Blanca Reserve
A scenic photo stop at this natural sanctuary is home to graceful vicuñas, llamas, and alpacas grazing freely in their native habitat. A beautiful glimpse into Andean wildlife.

The accommodation consists of a basic room that may be shared with other travelers from the group. ABOUT MEALS
Breakfast will be provided on Days 1 and 2, while lunch and dinner will be served on Days 1. All meals are prepared by local hosts using regional ingredients such as potatoes, rice, vegetables, and quinoa. Vegetarian options are available and can be arranged on the same day.
Please note that lunch on Day 2 is not included, as it takes place in Chivay, where you'll have the opportunity to enjoy a buffet-style meal at your own expense.
ABOUT THE COLCA CANYON ENTRANCE TICKET
This ticket is required for all visitors participating in the 2-day Colca Canyon tour. The proceeds help support the maintenance of roads and the preservation of the natural environment within the Reserve.
