Boat ride from Uros to Amantaní takes approximately 3 hours across Lake Titicaca, offering scenic views and a peaceful journey toward your island homestay experience.

12:45 PM – Arrival to Amantani Island

1:00 PM – Lunch with host family

Lunch at the family home on Amantaní Island is freshly prepared using local ingredients—an authentic taste of Andean tradition in every bite.

3:45 PM – Hike to Pachatata temple for sunset views

Enjoy a scenic trek on Amantaní Island to Pachatata Mountain, where ancient temples and stunning sunset views await. A peaceful hike through culture and nature.

4:45 PM – Arrival to Pachatata temple for sunset views

After sunset at Pachatata Mountain, return to the family home on Amantaní for a warm evening of rest, local dinner, and cultural connection.

DAY 2: Taquile Island and return to Puno

8:00 AM – Departure by boat to Taquile Island

One-hour boat ride to the next destination.

9:00 AM – Arrival to Taquile Island and Walk to the Main Square

Enjoy a scenic uphill walk along ancient stone paths, surrounded by stunning views of Lake Titicaca. As you reach the main square, immerse yourself in Taquile’s rich cultural heritage, where traditions, textiles, and community life reflect centuries of Andean history.

11:30 AM – Lunch at a Local Restaurant

12:30 PM – Walk Down to the Port and Boarding

Return walk along the lower part of the island.

1:00 PM – Departure to Puno

Relax during the 2.5-hour boat ride back.

MY ACCOMMODATION IS OUTSIDE PUNO CENTER

The following hotel are excluded of the pick-up: Sonesta Posada del Inca, Casa Andina Premium, Lake Titicaca Hotel, GHL Libertador, Jose Antonio Hoteles. A designated meeting point can be arranged in the city center (historical center) for your convenience. Alternatively, transportation services can be provided for an additional fee.

ABOUT THE RIDE ON A REED BOAT DURING THE TOUR IN UROS ISLANDS

The ride on a traditional reed boat during the visit to the Uros floating islands is not included in the tour price. This optional activity costs $5 USD per person and can be arranged directly with the local families during the tour.

ABOUT ACCOMMODATION IN AMANTANI ISLAND ON DAY 1

The accommodation consists of a basic room that may be shared with other travelers from the group. Please note that this experience is designed to immerse you in the local environment and natural surroundings. As such, the accommodation may differ significantly from standard hotel facilities.
