12:45 PM – Arrival to Amantani Island

DAY 2: Taquile Island and return to Puno

7:00 AM – Breakfast with the Family

Start the day with a simple, nourishing breakfast: quinoa, homemade bread, and herbal infusions.

8:00 AM – Departure  by boat to Taquile Island

One-hour boat ride to the next destination.

9:00 AM – Arrival to Taquile Island and Walk to the Main Square

Enjoy a scenic uphill walk along ancient stone paths, surrounded by stunning views of Lake Titicaca. As you reach the main square, immerse yourself in Taquile’s rich cultural heritage, where traditions, textiles, and community life reflect centuries of Andean history.

11:30 AM – Lunch at a Local Restaurant 

Typical dish: fresh trout, Andean soup, or vegetarian options.

12:30 PM – Walk Down to the Port and Boarding

Return walk along the lower part of the island.

1:00 PM – Departure to Puno

Relax during the 2.5-hour boat ride back.

3:30 PM – Arrival at Puno Port and End of Tour

Farewell to the group and optional transfer to your hotel.

MY ACCOMMODATION IS OUTSIDE PUNO CENTER

The following hotel are excluded of the pick-up: Sonesta Posada del Inca, Casa Andina Premium, Lake Titicaca Hotel, GHL Libertador, Jose Antonio Hoteles. A designated meeting point can be arranged in the city center (historical center) for your convenience. Alternatively, transportation services can be provided for an additional fee.

ABOUT THE RIDE ON A REED BOAT DURING THE TOUR IN UROS ISLANDS

The ride on a traditional reed boat during the visit to the Uros floating islands is not included in the tour price. This optional activity costs $5 USD per person and can be arranged directly with the local families during the tour.

ABOUT ACCOMMODATION IN AMANTANI ISLAND ON DAY 1

The accommodation consists of a basic room that may be shared with other travelers from the group. Please note that this experience is designed to immerse you in the local environment and natural surroundings. As such, the accommodation may differ significantly from standard hotel facilities.

ABOUT MEALS

All meals are prepared by local hosts using regional ingredients such as potatoes, rice, vegetables, and quinoa. Vegetarian options are available and can be arranged on the same day.

  • Changes will be accepted up to 24 hours prior to the scheduled date of the activity.

CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS

  • Cancellations requested at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled activity date are eligible for a full refund.

  • Cancellations made within 24 hours of the activity date are non-refundable.

  • In cases of force majeure—such as strikes, social unrest, natural disasters, or other events beyond the control of the company or the client—refunds may be issued; however, the refundable amount will be subject to evaluation based on the specific circumstances.
