HALF-DAY TOUR TO THE UROS FLOATING ISLANDS (09:00 – 12:00) Your morning begins at 9:00 a.m. with a gentle cruise across the shimmering waters of Lake Titicaca, the highest navigable lake in the world. Departing from Puno’s harbour, a comfortable boat carries you towards one of the region’s most remarkable cultural treasures: the Uros Floating Islands. As the vast landscape unfolds, the horizon blends sky and water into a serene panorama. Upon arrival, the Uro people—guardians of an ancient heritage—welcome you warmly and share the fascinating story of their life atop islands crafted entirely from totora reeds. You’ll explore one of these floating platforms, learn how they are built and maintained, and discover the community’s traditions, crafts, and daily customs. Those who wish may also enjoy an optional ride on a traditional totora reed boat, a memorable way to connect with the spirit of the lake. After a morning filled with culture, nature, and meaningful encounters, we return to Puno around 12:00 p.m., carrying with us the quiet magic of Titicaca.
Changes, Cancellations & Refund Policies
• CHANGE OF TRAVEL DATE - Requests to change the travel date will be accepted up to 24 hours prior to the scheduled activity. • CANCELLATIONS - Cancellations submitted at least 24 hours before the scheduled activity are eligible for a full refund. - Cancellations submitted within 24 hours of the scheduled activity are non-refundable. - Cancellations due to circumstances beyond the control of either the company or the client (such as strikes, social conflicts, or natural disasters) may be refundable; however, the amount to be refunded will be subject to evaluation. • REFUND PROCESSING - For payments made via PayPal, refunds are processed immediately. - For payments made by credit or debit card, refunds may take several days depending on the policies of the issuing bank.
