FULL-DAY TOUR TO THE UROS FLOATING ISLANDS AND TAQUILE ISLAND (07:15 – 16:00) Your day begins at 7:15 a.m. with a scenic journey across the deep blue waters of Lake Titicaca, the highest navigable lake in the world. Leaving from Puno’s harbour, a comfortable tourist boat takes you towards the remarkable Uros Floating Islands, one of the most iconic cultural sites of the Peruvian Altiplano. As the boat glides across the lake, the landscape opens into a vast horizon where sky and water blend in perfect calm. Upon arrival, the Uro people—guardians of an ancient tradition—welcome you warmly and share the story of their unique lifestyle on islands built entirely from totora reeds. You’ll explore one of these islands, learn how it is constructed, and discover their customs, crafts, and daily life. The journey continues towards Taquile Island, renowned for its breathtaking scenery and its exceptional textile artistry, recognised by UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage. A gentle walk along panoramic paths leads you to the main square, where the Taquileños proudly present their community organisation and their world‑famous weaving traditions. At midday, you enjoy an included lunch, prepared by a local family using fresh regional ingredients—an ideal moment to savour Andean flavours while overlooking the vastness of the lake. After an afternoon filled with culture, nature, and meaningful encounters, we return to Puno, arriving around 4:00 p.m., carrying with us the serene magic of the sacred Titicaca.
Changes, Cancellations & Refund Policies
• CHANGE OF TRAVEL DATE - Requests to change the travel date will be accepted up to 24 hours prior to the scheduled activity. • CANCELLATIONS - Cancellations submitted at least 24 hours before the scheduled activity are eligible for a full refund. - Cancellations submitted within 24 hours of the scheduled activity are non-refundable. - Cancellations due to circumstances beyond the control of either the company or the client (such as strikes, social conflicts, or natural disasters) may be refundable; however, the amount to be refunded will be subject to evaluation. • REFUND PROCESSING - For payments made via PayPal, refunds are processed immediately. - For payments made by credit or debit card, refunds may take several days depending on the policies of the issuing bank.
