4:00 AM – Departure from Cusco
- Begin your adventure with an early morning drive through the scenic Andes.
6:30 AM – Breakfast in Mollepata
- Enjoy a hearty traditional breakfast to energize for the day ahead.
7:30 AM – Drive to Base Camp
- Continue by private transport to the starting point of the hike.
8:30 AM – Start of the Hike to Humantay Lake
- Embark on a two-hour trek offering stunning views of Salkantay Mountain and surrounding glacial landscapes.
10:30 AM – Arrival at Humantay Lake
- Admire the breathtaking turquoise waters and majestic snow-capped peaks.
11:30 AM – Return Hike to Base Camp
- Descend at a comfortable pace, taking in the natural beauty once more.
1:30 PM – Arrival at Base Camp and Transfer to Mollepata
- Upon reaching the base camp, board the transport to the restaurant in Mollepata.
2:10 PM – Lunch in Mollepata
- Relax and enjoy a well-deserved lunch in the village before returning to Cusco.
3:00 PM – Return to Cusco
- Unwind during the drive back.
5:00 PM – Arrival in Cusco

A designated meeting point can be arranged in the city center (historical center) for your convenience. Alternatively, transportation services can be provided for an additional fee.

ABOUT THE TICKET TO HUMANTAY LAKE

The entrance fee to the Humantay Reserve may be added during the booking process or purchased directly on-site. The cost is S/25 (approximately USD $10) per person.

ABOUT BREAKFAST AND LUNCH

Vegetarian options are available for both meals. Should you have any additional dietary requirements or restrictions, please inform us at the time of booking.

ALTERNATIVE TRANSPORTATION OPTION FOR THE HIKE

If you are unable to complete the hike—which takes place at an altitude of approximately 5,000 meters (16,404 feet)—you may opt to rent horses as an alternative means of transportation. Please be advised that this service is not provided by our agency and must be arranged directly with local providers. The cost typically ranges from S/70 to S/90 soles (approximately $25 to $30 USD per person), depending on availability and demand.
Kindly note that any incidents or unforeseen circumstances arising from the use of these transportation services are entirely at your own risk.

CHANGES, CANCELLATIONS AND REFUND POLICIES

Change of Travel Date

Requests to change the travel date will be accepted up to 24 hours prior to the scheduled activity.

Cancellations

Cancellations submitted at least 24 hours before the scheduled activity are eligible for a full refund.
Cancellations submitted within 24 hours of the scheduled activity are non-refundable.
Cancellations due to circumstances beyond the control of either the company or the client (such as strikes, social conflicts, or natural disasters) may be refundable; however, the amount to be refunded will be subject to evaluation.

Refunds

For payments made via PayPal, refunds are processed immediately.
For payments made by credit or debit card, refunds may take several days depending on the policies of the issuing bank.
