4:00 AM – Departure from Cusco
- Early pick-up from your accommodation in Cusco.
6:00 AM – Breakfast in Cusipata
- Enjoy a traditional breakfast to prepare for the day’s activities. Afterward, continue by private transport to the base camp.
8:00 AM – Arrival at Base Camp & Start of the Hike
- Begin a scenic two-hour trek toward Vinicunca Mountain, taking in the impressive landscapes, local wildlife, and views of the Ausangate Mountain.
10:00 AM – Arrival at Vinicunca Mountain
- Admire the breathtaking scenery and capture memorable photographs.
10:30 AM – Optional Visit to the Red Valley Viewpoint
- Take a short detour to enjoy panoramic views of the Red Valley (optional).
11:00 AM – Descent to Base Camp
- Start the approximately two-hour hike back to base camp.
1:00 PM – Arrival at Base Camp & Departure
- Board the transport back to Cusipata.
1:45 PM – Lunch in Cusipata
- Enjoy a well-deserved lunch before continuing the return journey to Cusco.

ALTERNATIVE TRANSPORTATION OPTION FOR THE HIKE TO THE MOUNTAIN

If you are unable to complete the hike (which takes place at 5,000 meters above sea level / 16,404 feet), you have the option to rent horses or quads. Please note that our agency does not provide this service, but you may arrange rentals directly with local providers. The cost typically ranges from S/70 to S/90 soles ($25 to $30 USD) per person, depending on demand.
Keep in mind that any incidents or unforeseen events arising from the use of these transportation options are entirely at your own risk.

CHANGES, CANCELLATIONS AND REFUND POLICIES

Change of Travel Date

Requests to change the travel date will be accepted up to 24 hours prior to the scheduled activity.

Cancellations

Cancellations submitted at least 24 hours before the scheduled activity are eligible for a full refund.
Cancellations submitted within 24 hours of the scheduled activity are non-refundable.
Cancellations due to circumstances beyond the control of either the company or the client (such as strikes, social conflicts, or natural disasters) may be refundable; however, the amount to be refunded will be subject to evaluation.

Refunds

For payments made via PayPal, refunds are processed immediately.
For payments made by credit or debit card, refunds may take several days depending on the policies of the issuing bank.
